Myspace days numbered?

Yup, the day I knew would eventually come. It is statistically proven that Myspace has dropped in popularity. Even during the times when Myspace was the top social networking giant I knew somehow it would be taken over pretty quickly because that's just how life is. Then again half of my friends either never had a myspace page, or never used their page. I think a big social market is college kids and myspace wasn't the most appealing to them especially when the demographic of users became younger and younger. It doesn't look too good when a 20 year old is socializing with a 12 year old. facebook, however, BEGAN with college kids. That was their first market of users. Then they also allowed users of the same age group who weren't in college at the time. Eventually, almost anyone could have a Facebook page. One reason I don't like this is because Myspace is such a great tool for music. Even though the quality isn't the best we have worked so hard to attract so many friends. Now we have to do it all over on Facebook? Not to mention bands aren't allowed to add friends on facebook, but can only recieve them. I'm sure many of you are happy about the billion crappy band requests you won't be recieving anymore, but Myspace helped out unknown bands. And finally, Myspace is FREE which also helps out local or unsigned bands to keep their money and possibly even MAKE money from Myspace. It's still very popular, don't get me wrong, but it's slowly descending. I just hope the end of it isn't near. - Ryan
