2011 UPDATE - NEW MEMBERS

Hola everyone,

How's your 2011 so far? Ours has been quite a ride already. Let me fill you in..

As expected, like any band on their journey to stardom, we have gone through a lot in the past year and a half, being that we lost a few members and spent much time figuring out what we were doing for the future. You might have noticed but a few months ago we parted ways with Micah. It was a very emotional and difficult moment for us, but knowing that we had our differences with each other, we felt that it was something we had to do. Unfortunately, I can't begin to explain how these things come to an end being that it is a very long and complex story with many different view points. What we did know is that we didn't always see eye to eye with each other which causes inner turmoil. So after a long talk of trying to sort things out, Micah decided to leave OFAC. We wish him luck for the future with his pursuits whether it be music or anything else he decides to do.

Unfortunately still, this is something that happens with bands all too often. Members come and go. But knowing what you may lose in the process is the worry that the remaining members are left with. Well, we can assure you that our worries are gone and we are ready to get things rolling again!

With that being said.. We would like to announce that we have a new guitarist and bassist! Trevor (Guitar/Vocals) and Evan (Bass) are two strapping, young lads who are extremely talented and creative individuals. We have been writing A TON of new songs already after this short amount of time and we are dying to record and release them. We can assure you that the addition of these new members has elevated us so much with our music style and song writing.

With all that being said, we are excited to get back out into the world and playing shows again and recording new material. We will be hitting the Tri-State area hard in the coming months playing shows and we'll also be hitting up other places as well. We're also looking to get back into the studio very soon to record some new, fresh material for all of you to sing along to. We will have more news and updates in regards to recording very soon. Can't wait to let you all in on what we have in store :)

In the meantime, all news and updates regarding anything OFAC can be found here on our blog or at our Facebook page:

SEE YOU AT THE SHOWS!!!

Much love,

-Sean

Little taste of some new Of Fate and Chance

It's the most wonderful tiiiiiime of the yeeeeeaaaaarrr.. again

2010 is coming to a close. So what now? Well... Look out for the much anticipated, new OFAC EP in 2011! As we do when most new years come along we will be coming out with some new songs, new pics, and a show possibly? All right around the corner. We are also still on the search for a Bassist. And might we add that this new Bassist must be able to sing! Because you know how we boys in OFAC like to bust out in 3 part harmony. We're still trying to convince Fleck to wear a head set. Then 4 parts will be made! If you are interested please e-mail us at Offateandchance@gmail.com

How do the years roll by so fast? Nothing is slowing down it seems. 2010 was gone with a blink of an eye. It felt as if the CD release show was only a few weeks ago and that all the great venues in NJ were still around. We miss you Birch Hill! All these years with OFAC and so many memories. Being in this band has been quite the learning experience and it continues to be to this day. 2011 will be yet another chapter in our saga. The OFAC journey continues!

Happy Holidays and much love to you all,

-Sean

Welcome to Miami...

What up everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed your summer! Because the fall season has officially started, unforetunately. But, summer is not over for OFAC :) We're chilln' (or I should say relaxin') right now in the hot hot heat of Miami, Florida! Yes, I know we wish you were here with us too. We've been tracking for over a week now; finished drums, guitars, bass etc. Soon we will be starting some vocal tracks. Songs are coming out swimmingly. It's going to be our best sounding record, without a doubt. I've uploaded some pics for all of you to see where we're hanging and recording. Check 'em out!

Much love,

-Sean

OFAC UPDATE! New songs, Ryan and more..

Hello everyone,

Wow, it's been months since we've written a blog. I'm sure some of you were wondering what happened to us and these things.. Well here we are again and we have SO much to tell.

So much has happened since the last time we wrote one of these that it's difficult to know where to begin. I guess we can start off by talking about the new music we have been creating. We have been doing A LOT of writing for 2010. We've written enough songs (and still are writing) to release another album and then some. But if you know us, you know that we don't just slap songs together. We are always striving for the best outcomes of our music. After some time and many songs we have come to a conclusion on what we will be doing in the next few weeks.

We will be heading down to Miami, Florida this weekend to record a new EP of 5 or 6 songs. We will be down there for a few weeks pumping out some new material for all of you to rock out to. We're ecstatic not only for all of you to hear it but to show you the new direction and evolution of OFAC. I'm not sure when you will be able to hear a newly recorded song but if I had to give an estimate I would say some time in the fall season. And once that is finished you may see us on the road touring these new songs along with all the other OFAC tunes you like to sing in your car too. And another full length in 2011 :) It has been quite a ride so far for OFAC which leads me to my next topic.

I'm sure many of you have heard through us or a friend about Ryan's departure from OFAC. If you're reading this for the first time it is true.. Ryan has left Of Fate and Chance. After many years and the long journey with OFAC he chose to move on. It was a very emotional time for all of us to see him leave. After all that we had been through it seemed unreal; from 1999 when we started the band in 7th grade, through high school & college, all up until now. He was a big part of OFAC, writing many of the songs and showing a dedicated work ehtic. But, for many reasons that would be too difficult and too long to explain, he chose a new path. We wish him the best of luck with his endeavors. The most important part is that we are all still best friends and there is no doubt that we will miss him very much.

As for Fleck, Micah and I.. We continue to carry on! We have big plans for the future and we're hoping that it isn't long until we can let you in on what we have in store. I know that you've seen our little snippets of status updates on our facebook profile, but we will try our best to continue with more detailed blogs and updates.

In the mean time, we will be kickin' it in South Beach recording some dank, new tunes, searching for a new bassist, looking to start playing shows again, and just having a blast with what we are doing. The new season brings another chapter in the OFAC journey. More updates on the way!

We love you all so very much,

-Sean
